The arrival of a new baby is such a once in a lifetime experience for each of your children. So soon will those long day naps become much shorter, and their faces will change so quickly after just a few months. I cherish the photos of my son at just a week old, because now when I look back on them I can barely imagine that time again now that he’s running across the house full speed. I got to capture this sweet family’s new arrival, with their older daughter looking on and being as sweet as can be to her sister. In home sessions are a great way to keep the hassle from packing everyone up in the car while you’re still recovering, and showing the love that’s right inside your home you all have for each other.
It’s so fun to capture a newborn’s first few days with an older sibling watching and getting used to a lot of new changes around the house! Nayvie had such a fun time getting some attention of her own on the session and was sure to ham it up in some of the photos to show off her own personality. I love to do a mixture of letting everyone have some of the spotlight with the new baby, since everyone is still just as important in the family.
