Happy Valentines Day to all of you <3
and on this cute little holiday, I present an extremely mushy and emotional little look into our lives.
“My world was rocked since the day you were born,
Days go too quickly to get anything done.
Nights are restless, and nights are long,
slowly I’m finding that you now belong.
I thought those early days would never end,
but now you’re twice as big as when you came in.
I know to cherish when you are around
because time will never let us slow down.
You will never possibly know
the gifts you brought to us years ago,
I don’t yet know who you’ll choose to be
but for now you’re everything we need.”
I tried to write about what this past month and a half has looked like in the quiet of our home, but it was too overwhelming, hard, emotional, loud, quiet, touching, gentle, sweet, perfect for words more than a sweet little poem, so that’s what I wrote 🙂
