Alyson and Matt’s Hayfield at Murchison Farms wedding day in Liberty, North Carolina was meaningful in so many ways, starting with the venue itself. The farm has been in Alyson’s family for over 200 years, and getting married there was such an homage to the place she knows so well. The bridal party started with getting ready in the home toward the front of the property, with girls changing from blush pajamas to blush bridesmaids dresses, and having the sweetest reaction when they got a reveal with the bride for the first time. The guys hung out in the barn until the first look moment, where they read each other thoughtful notes before they headed to the aisle to say I do.
We were very nervous about a storm hitting right as the ceremony was set to start, but it decided to let us go in peace and no rain hit until later in the evening when everyone was already inside.
The reception was an absolute EVENT, with Megafly crushing their job of getting the crowd amped for a night of dancing, laughing and partying with their neon lights and passed around party hats. The night ended with a fireworks show, and it honestly couldn’t have been a more perfect day.

“My family owns Murchison Farms. My mother grew up on the farm, and my grandmother still lives there today. The farm has been in our family for over 200 years. I’ve spent every holiday, family gathering, and big event on this farm, and in 2020 after my cousin got engaged, we decided to build a wedding venue on-site. To get married at a place that holds so many memories for my family is so special. Matt is a huge outdoorsmen too, and he loves spending time there just as much, if not more, than I do!”
Just that I get to marry the love of my life, on a farm that holds every important memory for me. We get to have all of the family and friends that have raised and supported us throughout our lives with us as we take this step. I can’t really imagine anything more special than that.
