My year looking back
Doing a Best of post for each year always BLOWS MY MIND. When we are living our lives day to day it doesn’t feel like we are doing much at that pace.
But putting a compilation of moments I’ve experienced and captured all together shows a bigger picture of what my own life looks like in one year.
This year was a “transition” year. I spent this year away from my family and friends for the first time knowing that it wouldn’t be a permanent location, and it was frustrating at times not being able to feel like I could settle in. But the military life is like that. I have always been determined to continue creating amazing photographs no matter the circumstances, for the sole reason that it makes me incredibly happy. Thank you to everyone who has made that possible for me. I can’t even imagine what 2017 will hold.
A look back on 2016
Places I went- Nashville, Mobile, Rosemary Beach (Florida), Paris, Geneva (Switzerland) Turin (Italy), Charleston, Destin, Chickamauga (Georgia), Atlanta, Asheville (North Carolina), New Orleans, Huntsville and of course Pensacola.
Favorite place I visited- Turin, Italy with Katie Vellman. Also shoutout to Charleston
My favorite concert- Die Antwoord at Voodoo Festival in New Orleans
My favorite read (audio) – “Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert
My biggest news- my sister got engaged, the military is sending husband and I to HAWAII.
Please enjoy these moments in time that I was there for. The stories they tell in these people’s lives also becomes a part of mine.
