The urge to tear it all away.
Shelby and I decided to visit the opening of a new studio and get in some Legacy Studio model photography in Durham, owned by the fabulous Ariel Perry. We wanted to do some business headshots, but then I thought maybe I could go a little further and explore the idea of presenting ourselves and what makes us truly beautiful.
This stemmed from the fact that Shelby is an absolute goddess, with such a rich inner and outer persona. She’s been sharing that she has alopecia, and lost her hair last year. For any woman, this can be quite an overwhelming experience, but I’ve loved seeing Shelby embrace how absolutely gorgeous it really makes her. I’m also a big fan of tattoos myself, and it was an easy pathway into “taking it off” show share what’s underneath.
