Angel in Hawaii, Light & Dark – Rae Marshall Photography
I have such a heart for creative series as it is the reason I got into photography so long ago when I was just 15 years old. Now days I am leaning towards more minimal concepts that still tell a story, and Hawaii is the perfect location for breath taking visuals that lend a hand to the fantasy I see in my head.
This series showcases the two sides we all have inside of us, powerful and blinding light, and deep sadness and darkness. However we really carry a mix of both every day, and those sides make us who we are.
Krista wears three different looks to represent this idea, all three beautiful in their own way, because we need to know so many sides of us and others to understand how to be a balanced and fulfilled person.
On a more light hearted note I had such a fun time hanging out with my youngest sister and close friend Ashley as we scaled this hike carrying a Target bag of angel wings, and gaping in awe at the island we get to live on!
It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.

Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness of others.
